A quick dash home to get showered and changed, then up to Gillingham for Simon's 40th birthday party at the King Charles Hotel. The function room was a photographer's lighting nightmare (dim lighting, black ceiling, etc.) and once the festivities were in full swing, nothing was still long enough to get a clear shot. Back to old fashioned manual mode on my 'state- of-the-art' camera, a remote flash with my radio trigger and I just
may have got a few decent shots out of the 240 odd that I took.

Blues Brothers and kept the dance floor packed all evening.
